Children's Ministry
Omega Force Children's Church is a fun-filled environment with Bible-based teaching for children ages four through fifth grade. In our services, we use interesting characters, puppets, object lessons, praise and worship with a live band, and exciting games to create a learning experience that captivates each child's attention, challenges their thinking, and inspires them as they grow in Christ. Our children's services are held each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Children are small people who hunger to know God. By learning biblical truths we expect them to discover their gifts, advance spiritually, and surrender their lives to God forever!

Matt & Debra Cardwell
Matt Cardwell began attending Word of Life in 1986 with his wife and daughters. He became active as an usher, altar room worker, and youth minister. In 1994, Matt and his family moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he served for five years as Youth Pastor. In 1999, Matt returned to Birmingham to assume the position of Youth Pastor at Word of Life, and in 2003 became the Children’s Pastor. Matt is a Birmingham native, a Hewitt Trussville High School graduate and attended Jefferson State Junior College. He has organized and directed youth and children’s summer camps and special events across the Southeast for over eighteen years. Matt is also a motivational speaker who teaches children and youth the importance of developing Godly character and maintaining high moral standards. Matt has been married to his wife, Debra, for over twenty-five years, and is the father of three grown girls, Jennifer, Rachel, and Kasey.
