Children's Ministry

Proverbs 22:6
 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Our children’s services are held each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., for ages 4 through grade 4. In these services we aspire to train them up in the Word through teachings, lessons, activities, and Bible Memory Verses. They are encouraged and rewarded to learn and to know the Word. They are taught what has been done and provided for them through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, so they might grow up to know who they are in Christ.

We have a time of praise and worship, and minister the Word in such a way as to teach, inspire and help these young ones make a connection with God that will last a lifetime into eternity! 

Directors of Children's Ministry

Russ and Susan Oney moved to the Birmingham area to be a part of Word of Life Christian Center. They will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in December 2010. Throughout their 25 years of marriage they have served together in various volunteer ministry positions. Having raised 4 children, who are all serving the Lord, they know the importance of teaching children the truths of God's Word. With their years of parenting experience and their desire to build the adults of the future, Russ and Susan focus on planting God's Word in the hearts of our children.
