Our Story
Word of Life Christian Center is a Spirit-filled, non-denominational, Word of Faith church in Birmingham, AL that was founded as a house of healing, a house of mercy, and a house of prayer; teaching, equipping and empowering people with the life-changing Word of faith!
In 1982, after attending Rhema Bible Training Center, Pastor Scott Webb of Birmingham, Alabama, began to pastor Word of Life Christian Center. Pastor Webb is a visionary with a heart for people. Every work starts with a vision, an idea birthed in the heart of an individual. As a church family, our hearts are united in fulfilling the vision God has placed within our Pastor, Scott Webb. The passion and heartbeat of this ministry is to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by helping individuals, building families, and reaching the community, our state, and the nations of the world with the life-changing Word of God. Emphasizing the integrity of the Word of God and excellence in all aspects of ministry, the church has grown and flourished. We have an extensive outreach ministry reaching into nursing homes, juvenile facilities and prisons around the state, and various mission fields abroad.
